It is very important to us to give back to the community that has been so good to us, and we are happy to support many local activities including sponsoring the Nadine Chyz Alberta Junior Women’s Curling Team, the Ranchlands-Arbour Lake-Citadel community soccer league and the Hawkwood Community Soccer League, hockey teams in the NCHL, Calgary Northwest Midget hockey, the Crowfoot Hockey Association, and many more.
Dr. Thomas has spearheaded the “I-Care Program” to provide complimentary eye care to needy patients from Calgary’s Drop-In Centre, the Mustard Seed, and the Salvation Army’s Centre of Hope.
Our goal is to raise awareness of the importance of eye care for everyone regardless of age, health, special needs, budgets, or time constraints and to provide it with care, compassion and expertise.

Digital Retinal Photographs...
Allow us to have digital documentation of the back of your eye which helps detect subtle changes over time that occur with many eye problems, including diabetic retinopathy. In many instances these photographs may allow us to avoid having to use dilation drops.

Visual Field Instruments...
Track your peripheral and central vision. Not only is this important to your sight but it can also detect signs of neurological disorders, certain brain tumors and glaucoma.

Optical Coherence Tomography...
(OCT) scans take cross-sectional images of the back of your eye, allowing the doctor to detect early signs of macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts and many other abnormalities that are otherwise difficult to see.
Corneal topographers take a detailed topographical map of one’s eyes in order to give us the information needed to monitor the health of your eyes.
